Why clubs move off ClubExpress

The problem is rarely one missing feature. It is usually accumulated admin friction and a member experience that never really lands.

What breaks first
  • Committee knowledge gets trapped in admin workflows only one person understands.
  • Member communications, renewals, and event handling feel spread across too many surfaces.
  • The system works, but it does not feel like a product members want to return to.
What improves in Club Lounge
  • Admins manage members, dues, discussions, and events in one tighter flow.
  • Members get a clean private home instead of a patched-together portal.
  • Volunteer turnover hurts less because the system is easier to operate and explain.

This is the better fit when your club needs operational clarity more than it needs another deep legacy config surface.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does Club Lounge cost?
Plans start at CA$5/month for clubs of up to 50 members. Core is CA$29/month and includes 200 active members, then CA$0.15 per additional active member per month. Growth is CA$79/month and includes 500 active members, then CA$0.05 per additional active member per month.
How long does it take to set up?
Most clubs are live in under 10 minutes. Create your lounge, set your membership fees, connect Stripe, and share your join link. Member data can be imported manually via the admin panel.
Do members get a URL that's actually ours?
Every club gets its own subdomain (yourclub.clublounge.app). Core plan and above support a fully custom domain like lounge.yourclub.com — your DNS, your brand.
How does dues collection work?
Club Lounge uses Stripe for dues collection. Set monthly or annual dues for each membership level and members pay directly. Automatic renewals, instant payment records, and a real-time view of who has paid all live in your admin tools. Stripe processing fees apply, plus a 2% ClubLounge platform fee on dues payments.
Can you migrate from ClubExpress?
Yes. Export your ClubExpress members as CSV, send the file to us, and we handle the mapping and import. We usually complete migrations within 48 hours.
What types of clubs use Club Lounge?
Flying clubs, yacht clubs, cycling clubs, golf clubs, rowing clubs, photography societies, professional association chapters, and alumni associations. Any club that needs a private community home.
Why switch from ClubExpress?
Usually because the admin experience feels old, too much work is spread across different screens and exports, and members never really adopt it as a real home base. Club Lounge is simpler to run and easier for members to actually use.
Can local admins handle the migration without a consultant?
Yes. Most clubs export their member list, send us the file, and then review the imported data before invites go out. The migration path is intentionally lightweight for volunteer-led organizations.

Your club has been running on duct tape long enough.

Move the member database, stop the spreadsheet handoffs, and give your club a private home members will actually use.

No card required to create your lounge.
